6-foot-4 2028 combo guard Carter Smith out of Penn Charter (PA) has steadily improved over the course of his high school basketball tenure so far. The junior prospect went from young role player as a freshman behind guys like Jake West (Northwestern), and Kai Shinholster (Minnesota), to now leading the pack for a young Quakers program.
Coming fresh off an undefeated season going 22-0 and winning an E16 Peach Jam Title with Team Final (PA) on the EYBL, Smith did a ton of work to boost his national stock this summer.
“Yeah, my summer was busy,” said Smith. “We started in June with Penn Charter at DMV Live which is crazy. Playing in front of 30+ coaches, at every game. We had a rough weekend there, but I think as a team, we got better and learned how to play with each other. Then I went to Nike Top 100 Camp which was great competition. I definitely saw myself emerging against the best guys. Once June 15th hit, I started picking up some more offers and then I got right back on the Peach Jam circuit.”
