The Groton Area girls basketball team had a successful 2025-2026 season, going 16-7 overall. They lost three starters to graduation but they have experienced players coming back that are more than are ready to step into bigger roles. C3 Scouting looks at and evaluates the Groton Area Tigers’ top prospects for the upcoming season.
Taryn Traphagen (2027) 6’0” SG, (Augustana University commit)
The Tigers will be led by Division II Augustana University commit Taryn Traphagen. She was highly recruited and lands at the Division II level because of her positional size as a 6-foot perimeter player with ball skills, shooting ability, high IQ, and great decision making. Traphagen is a good teammate that shares the ball well and makes crisp, on-target passes, while also valueing the ball and not forcing anything.
