The June Midwest Championship in Sioux Falls, South Dakota this past weekend featured a handful of prospects with height and length worth mentioning. C3 Scouting has five more names from the tournament, all being 6-foot+.
Saylor Langager, 6’2” 2027 Center, Heiser Skills Academy 17U
Langager was the tallest and lengthiest prospect I saw on Saturday. Her sister is a D2 post player for University of Sioux Falls. You don’t come across a big number of 6-foot-2 prospects in South Dakota, so they bring high value to college coaches. She’s a true post prospect that might be a little longer and has a smaller frame than her older sister. At the tournament I saw her in one game, and Langager was able to high-point rebounds on both ends and offensively she posted on the block and often went straight to her left shoulder and dominant right hand, with minimal wasted movement going at the hoop. Defensively she covered a lot of ground, defending with her long arms to contest shooters in help-side then retreating to defend her matchup in the paint. She anchored Heiser Skills Academy 17U‘s defense.
In this clip you can see her length and willingness to post and seal a defensive body. She’s #34 in black.
