South Dakota High School Boys Breakout Candidates
C3 Scouting has 56 potential South Dakota High School Boys Basketball Breakout Candidates
Breakout Candidates
Justin Bilal (2026) 6’5” Wing - Sioux Falls Roosevelt - Transfered from Sioux Falls Lincoln to Roosevelt for an opportunity to be “the guy”. One of the top athletes from the wing. He’s quietly one of the best 3-point shooters and perimeter defenders in the state. People will notice this season Bilal’s full ability.
Memphis Bylander (2026) 6’4” Wing - Sioux Falls Roosevelt - Dakota Wesleyan commit that is a great wing defender and can get up and dunk the ball very easily. More valuable than the box score would suggest.
Connor Relf (2026) 5’9” Point Guard - Sioux Valley - Relf transferred from AA Sioux Falls Roosevelt to A Sioux Valley, where he’s expected to step in at the point guard position where he can be a lights-out 3-point shooter with skill to handle the ball against pressure and distribute the ball.
Jack Mack (2027) 6’5” Wing - Watertown - Jack is ready for the next step on the varsity level after having a nice offseason where he showed he can be an overall playmaker. A good athlete that showed transition play. Can defend size and will lock-in on the perimeter.
Tatum Sorensen (2026) 6’2” Guard - Dakota Valley - A college-level guard that is recovered from ACL injury that is being majorly slept on. Surprising overall skillset he showed at the Prep Hoops Showcase. I thought his play was the main takeaway from the Showcase. Elite passing playmaker. He’s a guy I’d recruit, no doubt.
