South Dakota High School Boys Notes
A brief update and some notes from film I’ve seen
-South Dakota Boys Update
-Teelan Kjerstad of Wall High School, 1,000 career points
-Chance Schoenfeld of Deubrook Area with a school record 40 points in the win over Garretson
-Tate Sorensen of Freeman, 1,000 career points
-Marvin Richard III scored 43 points in the win over Freeman
Blake Ellwein (6’10 2026 Guard) Huron
Ellwein’s rim protection and shot-blocking is really standing out as a key to Huron’s success. Huron isn’t a deep team but are near the top of the AA class and looking to make a run at state.
Sullivan Felberg (6’8 2028 Forward) Clark/Willow Lake
in the game I saw versus Sioux Valley, Felberg had a quiet first quarter, then starting the second quarter he started getting busy with 11 points in the second. He was a tough matchup for them with his length and scoring when he started taking over. I may need to consider moving him back to the #1 2028 spot.
