2028 SF Mason Collins is a player that’s taking the country by storm. In only the beginning of his junior season, Collins is already a 2x Gold Medalist with USA Basketball and has multiple State Championships under his belt just to name a few of his accomplishments.
Collins had arguably the most impactful summer out of any player in his class. With him earning a Duke offer last week, and moving up to No. 3 in ESPN’s official 2028 rankings, it’s safe to say that the right people are taking heed of the progress that he’s making.
Collins & I caught up recently to recap his summer, pinpoint areas of development, and talk briefly about his recruitment.
Whenever I talk to Mason or his Father, Mardy Collins, they’re always laser focused on the development aspect of Mason’s process. For a player of Collins caliber, it can get difficult to manage his developmental time while also being invited to participate in various camps, participate in USAB, and play EYBL.
