Top 6 Minnesota 2028 Prospects

C3 Hoops has a soft initial Top 6 Minnesota 2028 class ranking. The reason I’m calling it a “soft” debut is because there are some players that are considered top prospects that I’ve yet to see. I will only rank players if I’ve seen play.

The 2028 class has a few sure-things at the top and a list of prospects with some budding upside. It’s lacking elite Bigs you could say and more guard-heavy.

#1) Ichima Idoko (6’7” 2028 Forward) DeLaSalle

Idoko is considered by probably most, the top 2028 in Minnesota due to his absurd blend of length, and offensive and defensive versatility. He has two notable D1 offers from Kansas State University and UNLV. The early offers are a clear sign that he’s going to be a highly-recruited prospect going forward. At 6’7” he can live and operate out on the perimeter. A left-handed shooter, his versatility comes from his ability to shoot from 3-point range as well as be an at-the-rim finisher. His shot looks fairly steady for such a lengthy and sized player. Finishes around the rim with length and efficiency. Uses his size and body well close to the hoop. Scored 15 points versus Maple Grove, going 5 for 5 from the free throw line. Smooth and comfortable stroke at the line. Can go off the dribble cleanly from the perimeter and get in the paint. Really high on him like everyone else, with his high floor and sky-high upside. Could maybe get up to 6’9”-6’10”. He’s been rested some early in the season with DeLaSalle playing against much lesser competition.
